Liam Bourassa enters his first season as an assistant coach with WPI Track & Field, bringing an accomplished collegiate competition background and leadership experience from Fitchburg State University.

Bourassa earned NCAA All-American honors in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, along with 16 first-team All-Region selections. He was named Fitchburg State’s Athlete of the Year in 2025 and also earned USATF All-American honors in 2021. A captain of Fitchburg State’s men’s track and field team in 2024, 2025, and 2026, Bourassa brings experience leading teammates and competing at the national level to his role with the Engineers.

Bourassa is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in entrepreneurship at Fitchburg State, with graduation expected in 2027. A Dean’s List honoree since 2022, he has balanced his academic and athletic commitments with professional experience in equipment operation and construction.
