Michael Brousseau

Michael Brousseau enters his first season as an assistant coach with WPI Baseball, returning to his alma mater with extensive coaching experience and a background in engineering leadership.

Brousseau became head baseball coach at Auburn High School in 2025, guiding the team to a SWCL league championship and a Division 3 state playoff appearance. Previously, he led the baseball program at Douglas High School from 2021 to 2024, earning three Division 5 state playoff appearances, including two trips to the Elite Eight and one to the Sweet 16. He also served as an assistant baseball coach at Millbury High School from 2017 to 2021 and has been a member of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association Executive Board since 2022.

His coaching background spans high school, junior high, AAU, and youth athletics, with experience in baseball, soccer, basketball, and cross country. A longtime baseball player, Brousseau has competed at catcher, pitcher, and shortstop in national adult leagues.

Brousseau earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from WPI, focusing his graduate studies on engineering team development and management. He also competed as a middle-distance runner during his collegiate career. Beyond athletics, he served as Director of Engineering at Bose Corporation from 2000 to 2017, leading a team of 80 engineering professionals. He brings that experience in leadership and team development to his work with the Engineers.
