Second Half Surge Sends Field Hockey Past Wheaton 4-0

WORCESTER -- Abbey Powers (Halifax, MA) and Eliza Dutson (Woodstock, CT) each notched a second half goal and an assist to help WPI breakup up a scoreless game at intermission and defeat visiting Wheaton 4-0 in a NEWMAC field hockey contest played on a beautiful October Saturday afternoon on H. A few minutes later the Crimson and Gray added an insurance marker when launched Meinhold launched the ball into the crease and after bouncing off multiple Wheaton defenders, Leah Uglevich (Maynard, MA) garnered possession and brushed the ball into goal for her third of the season with 5:39 remaining
