WORCESTER -- WPI football wrapped up its 2025 campaign Saturday afternoon with a 45-9 setback to visiting Salve Regina in NEWMAC football action at Alumni Stadium. The Engineers conclude the season at 2-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play, while the Seahawks finish 6-4 and 3-4.

Jack Schuck (Bangor, ME) led WPI with 53 passing yards, while McDermott and Zambardi combined for 41 more. McDermott tossed a 30-yard touchdown pass to Csencsits on a senior-to-senior connection on the final play of the game. Castro caught four passes for 30 yards, while Green Township NJ reached triple digits in rushing for the first time, going for 101 yards on 23 carries to pace the ground game.

Defensively for WPI, Cavotta , Hannigan,
Jake Robertson (Grafton, MA), and
Carter Learned (Reading, MA) each recorded six tackles, while
Carson Palma (Londonderry, NH) added five.
Santino Madello (Leonardtown, MD) registered a quarterback hurry.

Salve Regina struck first on a 48-yard touchdown pass from
Kyle Crampton (East Greenwich, RI) to
Jacoby Smith (New Haven, CT) midway through the opening quarter. Moments later, the Seahawks capitalized on a WPI fumble, as
Marco Soto (Milford, MA) returned the recovery 19 yards for a score to make it 14-0.

The visitors extended their lead in the second quarter when
Justan Luzzi (Pittsburgh, PA) capped a 13-play, 70-yard drive with a three-yard touchdown run.

WPI answered before the break, as
Nathan Napier (Natick, MA) connected on a 27-yard field goal to make it 21-3 at halftime.

Luzzi broke free for a 71-yard touchdown on the first play of the third quarter, and
Thomas Fallon (Eastchester, NY) followed with a nine-yard scoring pass to
Thomas Gangi (Cumberland, RI) to push the margin to 35-3.

In the fourth,
Nathan DiRado (Syracuse, NY) added a 28-yard field goal before Fallon and Smith linked up again, this time for a 43-yard touchdown to make it 45-3. McDermott's strike to Csencsits in the closing seconds provided the final margin.

A balanced Salve Regina attack totaled 407 yards of offense, led by Fallon, who completed 17-of-22 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Luzzi rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns, while Smith caught seven passes for 131 yards and two scores.
Max Collins (Milford, CT) and Crampton each added seven receptions.

James Minotti (Haverhill, MA) collected eight tackles, and
Marc Promutico (Staten Island, NY) forced a fumble.
Marcues Jean (Fall River, MA) added an interception, and
Sam Andrea (Wethersfield, CT) contributed a sack as the Seahawks held WPI to 186 total yards.
