Allison Fullem (Underhill, VT),
Ava Giansiracusa (Wethersfield, CT),
Ava Hyams (Kearny, NJ) and
Emmy Allyn (Rutland, MA) combined for 39 of the Engineers 52 points to help the Crimson and Gray outlast Roger Williams 52-47 in the last contest of the 2025 WPI Winter Invitational played Wednesday afternoon inside Harrington Auditorium.
The contest concluded the two-day, four-team classic format tournament with all four matchups predetermined. Earlier Wednesday, No. 12 Bates defeated Hunter 73-37 in a match-up that featured the two winners from Tuesday. WPI is now 7-5 overall while Bates, which is #12 in the latest D3Hoops.com Top 25 is 10-1, Hunter 7-4 and Roger Williams 5-6.

In Wednesday's first game, Bates shot a blistering 57.14% (8-of-14) in the first quarter to race out to a 19-6 advantage after 10 minutes. The Bobcats never trailed and drained 50% (4-for-8) of their first half 3-pointers. Daulerio put the cap on an MVP performance by stuffing the stat sheets with nine points, four rebounds, two assists, a pair of blocks and two steals. Lily Lambo (Watertown, MA) reached double figures in scoring with 10 points chipped in with eight boards and Hicks,
Mya Hicks (Ann Arbor, MI) finished a point short of a double-double with 10 boards to go along five assists.
Charles, who is the nation's scoring leader in all three divisions - women or men - in NCAA Basketball (over 2,100 programs), followed up her 35-point showing in a win Tuesday, with 26 points. The senior All-America also registered seven rebounds, six steals and a block for the Hawks.
WPI is back on the court on Monday, January 5th, wrapping up a three-game homestead by entertaining Williams at 6pm. The other three squads are all back in action on Saturday, January 3rd. Hunter welcomes Farmingdale State into NYC for a noon tilt, while Roger Williams hosts Wentworth in a 1pm CNE affair and Roger Williams ventures to North Dartmouth, Massachusetts to tangle with UMass Dartmouth in a 3pm contest.
