What the coaches are saying:
Chris Robertson - Head Football Coach on
Colin Chandonnet - "Colin, a four-year member of the football program, has been one of the hardest working players we've had. His love of the game, his respect for the game, and his sacrifices for his teammates over the years make him the perfect recipient for the sportsmanship award."
Brian Kelley - Head Men's Soccer Coach on
Edward Zazzali - "Eddy Zazalli epitomizes sportsmanship! Win or lose he is always gracious towards his opponents; we are proud to have him in our program!"
Steph Riley-Schafer - Head Women's Soccer Coach on
Maggie Drawz - "Maggie represents WPI Women's Soccer core values of hard work, passion and most importantly, when it comes to sportsmanship, integrity. She is always a welcoming face to anyone who visits WPI, be it opposing teams, officials and traveling fans. Maggie competes with intensity while also being the first to offer a supportive hand to anyone who needs it. We are so proud to have Maggie as teammate."
Kim Cosenza - Head Field Hockey Coach on
Shannon Miranda - "
Shannon Miranda is a true team-first player who consistently does what is best for the program. She is a fierce yet fair competitor with tremendous respect for her opponents, umpires, and everyone she encounters. Selfless to a fault, Shannon has proven herself to be an impact player both on and off the field—bringing levity as the perfect source of comic relief in the right moments, while always leading with humility and gratitude. She plays with heart, integrity, and a genuine appreciation for the game and the people around her."
Mickey Cahoon - Head Volleyball Coach on
Victoria Escuer - "Vicky has been an amazing player, but her character and leadership are what has stood out the most. The way she competes with class, humility, and the highest sense of sportsmanship define her as a role model for her teammates."
Brian Chabot - Head Men's Cross Country Coach on
Nathan Barry - "You can always count on Nathan bringing a smile and a positive vibe to every practice and competition. As one of the go-to members of the team, Nathan exemplifies what it means to be a positive role model and displays sportsmanship at every turn."
