Marlboro, MA — WPI women's basketball junior guard Ava Giansiracusa (Wethersfield, CT) has been selected to the 2025-26 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Basketball Second Team, as voted on by the league's head coaches and announced by the conference office.
The honor marks the second consecutive All-NEWMAC second team selection for Giansiracusa, who returned as the lone All-NEWMAC veteran from last year's Crimson and Gray's squad.
Giansiracusa led WPI in scoring, assists and three-pointers made, finishing the regular season with 305 points averaging 12.2 points per game while appearing and starting in all 25 contests. The Wethersfield, CTnative paced the Engineers with 60 assists and 37 three-pointers, connecting on 35.2% from beyond the arc while shooting 39.3% from the field overall. At the free throw line, the junior converted at an 80.5% clip.
In addition to her scoring production, Giansiracusa contributed across the stat sheet with 115 rebounds (4.6 per game) and 33 steals, ranking among the team leaders in both categories while averaging a team-high 34.2 minutes per game.
The Engineers finished the season with a 15-11 overall record and a 6-5 mark in NEWMAC play earning their sixth-straight conference tournament berth.
