WORCESTER -- The WPI men's soccer team opened its 2026 campaign with a scoreless draw against Endicott on Tuesday evening at H. Carr Field at Alumni Stadium. Both the Engineers and Gulls begin the season at 0-0-1.

Savio Ketnouvong (Worcester, MA) turned aside all three shots he faced to record his 10th career shutout. Endicott's
Colby Webber (Marshfield, MA) made one save at the other end to earn a clean sheet of his own.
The Engineers generated four shots on the night and held an 11-5 advantage in corner kicks, including a 7-3 edge in the opening half.
Dante Lagravinese (Bethel, CT) registered WPI's lone shot on goal, while
Michael Montabana (Jamison, PA),
Anir AitDowd (Harvard, MA) and
Alan Barretto (Exeter, NH) also recorded attempts for the Crimson and Gray.
WPI applied pressure early, earning four corner kicks inside the opening six minutes. AitDowd had the first opportunity just 37 seconds into the contest, sending an attempt wide, before Montabana missed wide in the ninth minute.
The Engineers produced their best chance of the opening half in the 18th minute when Lagravinese directed a header on frame, but Webber was there to make the save and keep the game scoreless. Ketnouvong answered minutes later, denying an attempt from Endicott's
Cole Loisel (Wilmington, MA) in the 21st minute.
Endicott threatened early in the second half, forcing Ketnouvong into a save on
Nick Ferrara (West Islip, NY) in the 48th minute. The Gulls came even closer in the 60th minute when
Adam Kozubal (Berlin, CT) struck the crossbar. Ketnouvong was called upon again less than a minute later and stopped
Jake Pezza (North Kingstown, RI) to preserve the deadlock.
WPI continued to generate opportunities from set pieces as the Engineers earned four second-half corners. Barretto had an attempt blocked in the 71st minute, while the Crimson and Gray defense held Endicott without a shot on goal over the final 29 minutes to secure the scoreless draw.
The Engineers return to action on Saturday, hosting Montclair State at 1pm, while Endicott welcomes Skidmore on Friday at 7pm.
