Drew Luongo headshot-2023

Drew Luongo

2024 marks the third year as an assistant coach at WPI for Drew Luongo.  He’ll once again oversee the wide receivers, where in his previous two years on Boynton Hill, he has guided and developed one of the deeper receiver rooms in the NEWMAC, including mentoring an all-conference selection a year ago.

In 2021, Luongo served as the running backs coach at Bates and helped guide the Bobcats to the best season for the program since 2016, as the offense broke the school record for the most yards in a single season. The running back by committee approach Bates employed served as the best pass-catching group in the NESCAC, as the group combined for over 500 total yards through the air in the passing game.

Luongo is a UMass alum and graduated in 2021 with a degree in sports management and a minor in psychology.  He played wide receiver in high school at Plymouth South.
