Hoolihan joined the WPI coaching staff in the spring of 2024 as the assistant defensive backs coach.
In 2022 and 2023, Hoolihan was the defensive backs and wide receivers coach at Grafton High School where he helped head coach Chris McMahon’s Gators reach back-to-back MIAA Division 4 State semifinal appearances. Additionally, he had coached linebackers and defensive backs at Buffalo State and had coaching stints at NAIA Pikeville and East Lake and River Ridge High School in Florida.
Hoolihan played collegiately for Saint Francis Xavier in Nova Scotia.  He played safety and outside linebacker for the X-Men and graduated with a BA in Sociology. Hoolihan is a full-time special education teacher at Abby Kelley Foster Charter School in Worcester.
