Maegan Cook

Maegan Cook enters her 15th season with the WPI women’s basketball staff ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Cook has been a steady presence on the sidelines for over a decade, helping guide the Engineers to the NEWMAC Finals three consecutive seasons, including the program’s first-ever conference championship in 2015–16. Most recently, she played an integral role in the team’s run to the 2024 NEWMAC Semifinals, as WPI closed the regular season with four straight wins and earned a signature postseason victory over second-seeded Babson.

A 2010 graduate of Assumption University with a degree in elementary education and a concentration in history, Cook enjoyed a successful four-year playing career with the Greyhounds. Her teams reached the Northeast-10 playoffs each season, highlighted by a trip to the NCAA regional semifinals in 2008.

Her basketball background includes serving as an instructor at summer basketball camps and clinics in both her hometown of Braintree and in Worcester. While pursuing her master’s degree in education at Cal State San Marcos, she also taught fundamentals of basketball and volleyball through an after-school program run by Fit Kids America.

Cook is currently a teacher in the Worcester Public School System.
