Both teams played tenacious defense throughout the
contest. On the afternoon, the Cougars enjoyed an advantage
in both shots (15-4) and corner kicks (8-0).

breakaway in the 77th minute when freshman Katie
Partridge (Worcester, MA) knocked a pass to classmate
Kristen Garza (Kingston, MA), but her shot went
wide to the right of the net.
WPI senior goalkeeper Nicole DeCampo (Stoneham,
MA) was spectacular in net as she was called upon to make eight
saves while her Clark counterpart Joanna Clark
(Windham, ME) made one stop on the day.

on Saturday. The Engineers will start a brief two-game road
trip with a match versus MIT while Clark entertains nationally
ranked Wheaton.
