WPI connected on 12-of-22 (54.5%) of its shots from the floor in the first half while limiting MIT to 18.5% (5-of-27).  The defensive effort for the hosts was highlighted by a pair of blocks from Rachel Salvatori (Williston, VT) and Dubois in the final four seconds of the half.  The home standing Engineers also enjoyed a 21-10 edge on the glass during the first 20 minutes.

Clara Yuan (San Jose, CA) paced the MIT offensive attack with 16 points while Cheryl Kwinn (Monroe, NY) chipped in with a double-double of her own (10 points and a game-best 12 rebounds)  The visiting Engineers also received eight points from Samia Mahjib (Barrington, IL).
