Framingham, MA --- Lilly Proulx (New Boston, NH) collected two goals and an assist as the Engineers went on the road and defeated Framingham State 8-1 in a non-conference women's soccer match-up Saturday afternoon. 

The Crimson and Gray (3-0) remain undefeated on the season while the host Rams slip to 0-3. 

Proulx, who had registered an assist in each of WPI's first two games, netted the fifth and sixth goals of the match less than five minutes apart late in the first half.  The guests had jumped out to an early advantage on Sofia Orrico (Bethel, CT) and Jill Comeau (North Reading, MA) markers sandwiched around a pair of tallies by Kristen McCrea (Weymouth, MA).   Joining Proulx with first half assists were Comeau, Elizabeth Rocco (Fresh Meadows, NY), Caitlin Bonavita (Wilbraham, MA) and Lauren Kaija (Reading, VT). 

Casey Good (Dartmouth, MA) got the hosts on the board midway through the second half with an unassisted goal at 63:39. Ava Schlesinger (Niskayuna, NY) and Ranya Basma (Shirley, MA) closed out the scoring for WPI with goals in the 80th and 90th minutes respectively with Grace Casey (Winchester, MA) notching an assist on Schlesinger's tally. 

Mandy St. Germain (Worcester, MA) worked the first 45 minutes in net for the Engineers, making three stops and not allowing a goal.  Lauren Paul (Schaghticoke, NY) was credited with a save a net during the second half.   Madison Brown (Attleboro, MA) was strong in net for the Rams, tallying 14 saves. 

The Engineers finished the match with a 29-7 bulge in shots and slight 4-3 edge in corner kicks. 

WPI is right back at in Sunday afternoon, hosting Trinity at 1pm in its home opener.   Framingham State plays the third match for a four game home stand Tuesday at 4:30 when they entertain Becker.
