Cambridge, MA --- WPI Women's Rowing had pair of boats compete this Sunday in the iconic Head of the Charles Regatta. The Engineers saw its varsity eight finish 10th and second varsity eight 30th in the Women's Collegiate Eights.
The varsity eight reached the finish line in a time of 17:14.063. The Crimson and Gray were consistent throughout their race, sitting in 10th place through all three checkpoints. WPI was sixth among Division III A entries and eighth of all Division III boats. Division II Mercyhurst won the race with a time of 16:32.228.
The second varsity eight clocked a time of 18:07.759, placing ahead of A boats representing Washington College (MD) and Conn College.
The Crimson and Gray conclude the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday, October 29th competing on Lake Quinsigamond in the Wormtown Chase Regatta.
