WORCESTER -- The WPI women's rowing team began its 2025-26 season by seeing its varsity eight place seventh at a sun-soaked Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Saturday morning.
The Engineers top boat reached the finish line in the 25-boat collegiate eight in a time of 15:31.4. The second varsity eight recorded a time of 16:32.6 to finish in 16th while the third varsity eight reached Regatta Point in a time of 17:23.4 to place 23rd.
Division I MIT finished one-two in the race, with its A boat winning in a time of 14:66.6 and its lightweight A placing second (14:51.3). Wellesley A was by (15:07.1) followed Holy Cross A (15:07.9), Smith A (15:10.8) and MIT B (15:12.1).
Up next, the Crimson and Gray compete in the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, October 19th with an entry in the Collegiate Eight race.
