Whittier, CA --- Saturday's doubleheader for WPI softball at Whittier (CA) was cancelled due to weather conditions. The Crimson and Gray will conclude their stay on the west coast and return to action at JWU next Saturday.

The Engineers (2-6) wrap up its 10-game California slate after facing Occidental (2-8), Chapman (10-5), Pomona-Pitzer (7-7), and La Verne (11-6) before having the final two games against the Poets of Whittier (7-3) cancelled.

WPI will return back to New England and prepare to tango with the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales. JWU and WPI will square off for the first time since May in the 2022 NCAA Division III Softball Regional in Glenside, Pennsylvania, where the Engineers were victorious and advanced to the regional championship game against host Arcadia. The doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, at noon in Providence.
