Indianapolis, IN --- WPI Men's Cross Country seniors
Everett Mosher (Chester, VT) and
Brinson Wyche (Corvallis, MT) earned individual qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships as announced on Sunday. The duo will travel to Roger Milliken Cross Country Course at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg we'll always meet.
In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions held this weekend.
Mosher, a senior standout for the program caps off his cross country debut season with a trip to the national race after crossing the finish line in a 24:43.7 time for eighth overall at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championships at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, on Saturday morning. The first-time cross country runner earned an All-NEWMAC nod after finishing fourth overall in the NEWMAC Championships with a 25:14.3 time helping the Engineers to a runner-up team finish at the conference title meet.
Fellow classmate, Wyche, completed the 8k trek in a career best time of 25:03.9 for 14th overall to earn the first-career individual qualification. The senior runner also finished 14
th overall at the conference championship meet with a 26:18.5 time.
The senior duo helped the regionally ranked No. 5 Crimson and Gray to a fifth-place finish at the championship race.
Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship. The top seven-person team automatically qualified from each of the 10 regions. Twenty-two additional teams were selected at-large. Seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.
Converse University and OneSpartanburg, Inc. are hosting the championships Nov. 22 at Roger Milliken Cross Country Course at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The men's race will begin at 10am, followed by the women's race at 11am.
A live web stream of the championships will occur on NCAA.com beginning at 10am time until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
This year's appearance for Mosher and Wyche will mark the first-ever trip to the national championship race for the pair as
Avi Bissoondial '24 '25 earned the most recent cross country qualification last fall.
