New Orleans, LA --- The WPI men's and women's cross country programs demonstrated their excellence in the classroom, earning team academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Additionally, five Engineers secured individual All-Academic Athlete recognition.

On the men's side, Everett Mosher (Chester, VT), Drew O'Reilly (Syracuse, NY), Thomas Skerry (Dedham, MA), and Jackson Sobelman (Redding, CT) were honored. Mosher, a civil engineering major, joined O'Reilly (biomedical engineering/mechanical engineering), Skerry (mechanical engineering), and Sobelman (architectural engineering) in representing the Crimson and Gray.

On the course, the men's program posted a runner-up finish at the 2025 NEWMAC Championship highlighted by a trio of All-Conference performances by Mosher, O'Reilly and Brinson Wyche (Corvallis, MT). Additionally, Mosher was named Co-Rookie of the Year as he debuted on the course for the first time during his senior year and was named selected as the NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Laurels of Academic Excellence recipient. The men's program later posted a fifth-place showing at the NCAA regional meet before Mosher and Wyche booked their trip to the NCAA Championships held in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

For the women, Sophia Reynolds (Andover, NH), a biomedical engineering major, captured individual All-Academic distinction.

Reynolds led the charge on the trails with a top-30 finish at the NEWMAC Championships before logging at 12th-place team mark at the NCAA East Region Championships.

In the classroom, the WPI men posted an impressive 3.67 cumulative GPA, comfortably surpassing the USTFCCCA's 3.10 benchmark required for All-Academic Team status. The women's squad also claimed the team recognition with a stellar 3.64 team GPA en route to securing All-Academic Team honors.
