Springfield, MA --- The WPI men's and women's diving squad opened up competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Region 3 Championships at Springfield on Friday. 
 
Katrina Yurista (Laramie, WY) was the lone representative for the women's program as she marked a 22nd place effort in the 1-meter championship. The junior diver recorded 376.10 points, missing the top-20 by just 2.95 points. Sydney Bluestein of Amherst took home the event title with a 469.70-point performance. 
 
In the 3-meter championship, Val Corrente (East Setauket, NY) and Tom Fitzgerald (East Longmeadow, MA) concluded the day at 13th and 14th respectively. Corrente logged 308.40 points as Fitzgerald accounted for 305.20. Haochen Liu of Williams claimed the event crown with 517.10 points on the opening night.
 
The trio of divers return to the boards tomorrow as the Yurista will tackle the 3-meter dive as Corrente and Fitzgerald will take on the 1-meter board at 12pm.
