WORCESTER — WPI Men's Track & Field and Cross Country continued its tradition of excellence in competition and in the classroom, placing six Engineers on the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Track & Field/Cross Country College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced recently.

Senior Gavin Fleck (Bend, OR), senior Everett Mosher (Chester, VT), senior Sam Manteria (Wilbraham, MA), senior Thomas Skerry (Dedham, MA), sophomore Drew O'Reilly (Syracuse, NY) and sophomore Will Larsen (Chelmsford, MA) were all recognized for their combined accomplishments in competition and in the classroom.

Fleck collected his third consecutive CSC Academic All-District selection after another banner campaign in the pole vault. The Mechanical Engineering major earned USTFCCCA Northeast Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year accolades after ranking first regionally and fifth nationally indoors with a school-record clearance of 5.07 meters. Fleck garnered first team All-America honors with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships and added second team All-America recognition outdoors. A four-time All-American and 10-time event winner during the 2025-26 campaign, Fleck owns a 3.62 GPA while continuing to establish himself as one of the premier vaulters in Division III.

Mosher secured his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District honor following one of the most accomplished seasons in program history. The Civil Engineering major maintains a perfect 4.00 GPA while earning second team All-America accolades in both the indoor mile and outdoor 1,500 meters. Mosher became just the second student-athlete in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field during the same academic year. The NCAA Elite Scholar Athlete recipient also anchored WPI's New England Division III champion 4x800-meter relay squad and earned the Andrew Holt Memorial Award from the Civil Engineering Department for academic excellence and professional promise.

Manteria garnered his second straight CSC Academic All-District honor after another successful season for WPI's sprint corps. The Chemical Engineering major posted regional top-10 performances in both the 100 meters and 200 meters, ranking third in the region in the 100 and eighth in the 200 en route to collecting NED3 Championship Elmer Swanson Track Athlete of the Meet honors as he won the 100m dash and 200m dash crowns at the regional meet. Manteria earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in both events and helped power the Engineers' All-Region 4x100-meter relay. The senior carries a 3.81 GPA while continuing to rank among the fastest sprinters in program history.

Skerry claimed his first CSC Academic All-District honor following a strong senior campaign in both cross country and track & field. The Mechanical Engineering major posted regional top-25 rankings in the 800 and 1,500 meters outdoors while helping WPI's 4x800-meter relay capture the New England Division III championship in a school-record time of 7:40.72. Skerry owns a 3.61 GPA and was a key contributor to the Engineers' success across all three seasons.

O'Reilly earned his first CSC Academic All-District selection after compiling a perfect 4.00 GPA in Biomedical Engineering. The sophomore distance runner excelled in cross country and track & field, recording regional top-30 marks in the mile, 1,500 meters, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters while placing among the top 50 finishers at the NCAA East Regional Cross Country Championship. O'Reilly has quickly emerged as one of the top young distance runners in the NEWMAC and New England region.

Larsen received his first CSC Academic All-District recognition following a breakout sophomore season. The Mechanical Engineering major boasts a 3.96 GPA while ranking seventh in the region in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 54.11. Larsen earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the event, captured the 400-meter hurdles title at the Corsair Classic, and was instrumental in WPI's conference and regional success throughout the outdoor campaign.

The 2026 Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, on the course and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately honors men's track & field and cross country student-athletes in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. CSC Academic All-America teams for men's track & field and cross country will be announced later this summer.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially supported by the NCAA Division II and Division III governance structures to assist CSC with awards fulfillment for the 2025-26 academic year.
