Worcester, MA --- Visiting WPI won nine of thirteen
events to defeat Clark 120-103 in men's swimming and diving action
on Wednesday evening.
Senior diver Eric Wallhagen (Carlisle, MA) dove
to a first place finish in both one meter (177.60) and three meter
(178.65) diving to lead WPI to the win.
David Keck (Orwigsburg, PA), Chase
Johnson (Eastham, MA), Joel Rousseau
(Pittsfield, MA) Steve Rose (Worcester, MA) and Dan
White (Sidney, ME) were WPI's other top finishers.
Keck won the 50-yard freestyle (24.09), Johnson prevailed in the
200-yard IM (2:08.80), Rousseau dominated in the 100-yard butterfly
beating second place Keck by over seven seconds (51.56), while Rose
and White won the 100-yard (51.93) and 500-yard (5:06.46)
freestyles, respectively.
The Engineers topped the field in the 200-yard medley relay
(1:43.54) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:33.73) while Rose grabbed
a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.08).
Freshman Bobby Medaglio (Andover, MA) rounded out
the competition for WPI with a second place finish in the 1000-yard
freestyle (11:09.28).
WPI returns to action on Saturday with an away meet at Trinity.
Results
