Oneonta, NY --- WPI went 0-3 after facing some of the best
competition in the nation on Saturday afternoon at the Oneonta
Quad. match versus Wilkes and Johnson and Wales, and Oneonta . The
hosting Red Dragons improved their dual meet record to 3-0 while
the Wildcats drop to 4-2 and the Colonels record now stands at to
3-1.
197 pound senior Adam Kreitman (Salem, MA) and 165
pound sophomore Dave Cardenas (Framingham, MA)
each picked up winning decisions 2-1 and 7-4 in the loss to
Oneonta, respectively. 141 pound freshman Will
Farell (Franklin, MA) won a 10-0 major decision in the
loss to Johnson and Wales while classmate Anthony
Carbo (Port Washington, NY) won his heavyweight match 4-1
in the loss to Wilkes.
WPI takes a break off from wrestling and will face-off against
Ithaca and Simpson at Williams on January 4. The meet will start at
5pm.
