WPI 155, Babson 137

Babson Park, MA --- Dan White (Sidney, ME), Mason Ruffing (Stone Mountain, GA) and Lee Chiang (Lexington, MA) each won multiple events to lead the Engineers to a 155-137 win over Babson on Saturday afternoon. 

Chiang was victorious in three events including the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.2), 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.6) and 200-yard IM (2:09.4) while White took home the top prize in the 500-yard (5:01.1) and 1000-yard (10:28.6) freestyles.  Ruffing won the 100-yard butterfly (54.22) and the 100-yard freestyle (49.02). 

Andrew Lybarger (Atlanta, GA) picked up a victory of his own in the 100-yard backstroke (55.95) before finishing second in the 50-yard backstroke (26.31) and 50-yard freestyle (23.19).  David Keck (Orwigsburg, PA) was first in the 50-yard butterfly (24.89) while Nick Catano (Goffstown, NH) and Carl Curran (Keene, NH) each finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:20.6) and 500-yard freestyle (5:16.2), respectively. 

Diver Andrey Yamshchikov (Essex Junction, VT) placed second in both the one meter (166.15) and three meter (138.55) events and in relay action the 200-yard team of Steve Rose (Worcester, MA), Minh Truong (West Roxbury, MA), Keck and Curran brought home the top prize with a time of 1:46.2. 

Men's Swimming and Diving, now 2-2, will travel to Coast Guard on Saturday for a meet scheduled to begin at 1pm.
