Cambridge, MA --- Senior Jeff Meyer (Denver,
CO) raced to a second place finish to help the Engineers maintain
fourth place overall at the NEWMAC Championships at MIT. The
Engineers have tallied a total of 205 points over two days at the
meet.
Meyer's second place finish came in the 400-yard IM with his
time of 4:09.76. Freshman Mason Ruffing
(Stone Mountain, CA), junior David Keck
(Orwigsburg, PA) and freshman Alford Green
(Portmore, Jamaica) took home third (51.52), fifth (52.17) and 14th
(54.21) place in the 100-yard butterfly, respectively.
Wrapping up the day for WPI were Ruffing, Meyer, Keck and
Lee Chiang (Lexington, MA) with a fifth place
finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:37.06).
The NEWMAC meet concludes on Sunday with the preliminaries
beginning at 11am with the finals to follow at 6:30pm.
