Greensboro, NC --- WPI senior Kyle Staubi (Red Hook, NY) competed in his second event Friday on day three of the 2023 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Old Dominion Athletic Conference at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.  The senior logged a 22nd-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly. 

Swimming in lane six of heat two in the preliminaries, Staubi clocked a time of 1:50.00 to place seventh in his heat.  The butterflier, who earned All-America recognition on Thursday in the 100-yard event, just missed coming back for the evening championship heats by four positions and 1.02 seconds.  Connecticut College's Justin Finkel earned the top seed for the championship, with the best time in the morning.  The Camel posted a time of 1:45.66.

The four-day NCAA Division III Championships concludes on Saturday.  Staubi will be back in the water for the 200-yard backstroke, the second event scheduled in the morning's preliminary slate.  He will be in heat 1, lane 7.
