Marlboro, MA --- WPI cross country's Everett Mosher (Chester, VT) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending on August 31st. 
 
Mosher made his cross country debut in an impressive fashion as he crossed the finish line with a 15:42.19 that was good for fourth place overall at the Suffolk Short Course Classic on Saturday morning. The senior trekker has served as a standout mid-distance runner for the Engineers track and field program. Mosher's time of 15:42.19 was the best of any Division III student-athlete, in the 159-person field. The senior helped WPI place third in the 16-team event behind Division I programs Holy Cross and New Hampshire.
 
The opening-week honor marks the first for the Crimson and Gray in 2025 and most recent since last September when Avi Bissoondial earned the honor at the Wellesley Invitational. 
 
WPI will return to action on Saturday, September 20th at the Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational slated for an 11am start.
