Boston, MA --- Senior
Bethany Brown (Allentown, PA) delivered an All-New England performance to headline the WPI women's track and field team at the 2026 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship, hosted Sunday at the TRACK at New Balance.
Brown placed sixth in the 600 meters with a personal-best time of 1:37.57 to earn All-New England honors. Her performance ranks second all-time in WPI program history in the event.
WPI also competed in two relay events against a deep regional field. The quartet of junior

Sabrina Cady (Lowell, MA), sophomore
Catherine Daly (Groton, MA) and Brown narrowly missed scoring in the 4x800-meter relay, finishing 11th overall in 9:40.85. The time ranks seventh-fastest in program history.

Samantha Alley (Randolph, NJ), Cady and senior
Sophia Reynolds (Andover, NH) teamed up in the distance medley relay, crossing in 12:56.68.
On the track in the sprint events, graduate student
Vivienne Evans (Newtown Square, PA) and sophomore
Rayna Thompson (Brentwood, NH) competed in both the 60-meter dash and 200 meters. Evans clocked 7.93 in the 60 prelims, while Thompson followed closely behind at 7.93. In the 200 meters, Thompson posted a 26.00 and Evans ran 26.13.
In the 4x200-meter relay, sophomore
Julia Fronc (Plaistow, NH), Thompson, freshman
Ella Stone (Branford, CT) and Evans combined for a time of 1:46.62.
Junior
Maeve Steckley (Rochester, NY) also competed individually in the 600 meters, finishing in 1:40.67.
Up next, select student-athletes will compete Saturday, March 7 at the Tufts Final Qualifier in Medford, Massachusetts.
