Jack Zawacki (Pittsford, NY) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending April 19th.

Zawacki was joined on the conference weekly awards list by Babson's
Jason Finkelstein, who was selected as the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week.

Zawacki paced the WPI offense during a 3-1 week, batting .632 (10-for-19) with 10 runs scored, 12 RBI, three doubles, two home runs and two walks. The outfielder delivered his biggest performance in an 18-12 victory over Roger Williams, going 3-for-5 with seven RBI, two doubles and a three-run homer while scoring four times.

The senior stayed hot in the weekend series against Clark, going a combined 5-for-10 with four runs scored and three RBI across the doubleheader. Zawacki opened the week with a two-run homer against New England College and recorded at least one hit in all four games.

Zawacki is the third Crimson and Gray player to earn a NEWMAC weekly award this season as seniors
Jacob Wiberg (Exeter, NH) and
Liam Keblin (Newton, MA) were selected as the conference's Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, for the week ending March 15.

WPI returns to the diamond Tuesday when it hosts Coast Guard in a 3:30pm NEWMAC contest at the New England Baseball Complex.
